Rare Video: Leopard mating in bird’s nest!

We recall the peculiar instance of a leopard washing itself while lying in a hamerkop’s nest. Among the yellow-black birds in a massive bird nest was the yellow-black predator. We’d never witnessed something so wonderful. Yet, the fact that the leopard was not alone on the tree and that the act of mating took place a little later made the circumstance much more unique. One of the infrequently seen leopard couples, especially in such a unique setting. What the Maasai Mara has to offer is incredible.

We could not believe our eyes when after a couple of hours, the female got into position and invited the male, not once, not twice, but three times.

A few lucky people have seen leopards mating on the ground, but to see them gracefully perform on an abandoned Hamerkop bird nest on top of a tree, was an amazing treat.
